Gordon Jameson has been a professional artist for almost 3 decades. His paintings, prints and sculpture are in private and corporate collections nationally.
Gordon is a founding member of the Orange County Artists Guild, Orange County, North Carolina. He served as co-chair from 2003 to 2005, and was the Artist Liaison until 2009. He has participated in Open Studio Tours since 1980 and has been involved with the Orange County Open Studio Tour since it began in 1995.
He has served on the Orange County Arts Commission Board of Directors since 2000. He served as Board Chair from 2002 to 2004 and is currently the OCAC liaison to the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau. He served on the Board of Center Gallery at the Artscenter in Carrboro, North Carolina from 1995 to 2000, and was chair from 1998 to 2000. He is currently President, Chair of the Board of Directors and a founding member of the Franklin Street Arts Collective gallery (FRANK gallery) in Chapel Hill, NC and is continually involved with many projects supporting the local art community.
Previous professional affiliations include Dorchester Arts Council, Boston, MA; Nanny Goat Hill Gallery, San Francisco, CA and Los Angeles County Museum of Contemporary Art, Curators Council, Los Angeles, CA.
Gordon Jameson has lived in rural Orange County, North Carolina with his wife, Bonnie since 1993. Gordon enjoys gardening, fine dining, cooking, kayaking, traveling, good company and all things Italian.
